This article is a direct correlation to the new RFID products we are implementing in our stores now. The RFID/EAS technology allows for you to tag your products as normal but then the system monitors the product in the store. If the product leaves, the alarm goes off. If the product is sold, the tag is deactivated by the software and the product can go out the door. One of the side benefits of this security product is that it also can allow you to perform inventory at the fraction of the time a traditional count would take. It also allows for self check-out and/or quicker cash-out for higher transaction rates. All of this saves you money in labor costs.
